Back to Kosovo

Well, I am heading back to Kosovo for two months starting Monday. And I just received this notice from the US Embassy in Kosovo (I never took myself off the mailing list for notices):

WARDEN MESSAGE-Culling Stray Dogs in Pristina Area
This warden message is to inform U.S. citizens that Pristina municipality will begin culling stray dogs, using firearms, in Pristina and its environs beginning on Friday night, 27 March at midnight through 7:00 a.m. Saturday morning, 28 March. This could be a safety hazard you should be aware of. A publicly owned enterprise will be responsible for the culling of the dogs, the disinfection of the site and the transport and burial of the animals under the supervision of the municipal rural development unit.
American citizens are therefore urged to exercise caution and avoid walking or driving the streets of Pristina during the time of the operation due to the danger of stray gunfire. American citizens should stay current with media coverage of local events and be aware of their surroundings at all times.

How perfect is that? I was actually thinking about the whole apartment search process and how to determine if a pack of wild dogs is living in the courtyard (see http://kosovonia.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html) ... apparently, now I won't have to worry.
I promise to post upon my arrival...
